Longtime readers of Joe the Circle may have noticed certain changes in activity at this site, such as for example there not having been any new content for over eight years. Fortunately, we have taken several steps to remedy this:

• Accidentally breaking, then painstakingly re-building, the WordPress install. Viewed from the standpoint of the extremely recent past, this is a major uptick in site functionality.
• Learning how to use the snazzy Wacom drawing tablet our girlfriend bought us, with which future issues of Joe will be created. This is a boon as it removes several stages from the production process: “finding a non-dried out marker”, “throwing away an issue in progress because the cartoonist accidentally drew a panel so badly that the only way forward involves changing the plot, and paper doesn’t have an undo button”, and so on.
• Deciding to leave Series 13 unfinished for the moment, on account of not having any memory of how it was supposed to end. Eggs, omelets, etc.
• Blowing the metaphorical dust off our mailing list, in an attempt to defibrillate our connection to hundreds of long-dormant fans. Clear!

So grab onto your favorite rationalizations for plot flaws, because we are revving up for a brand new Joe series, tentatively titled “New Joe Series Title TBD”. We look forward to re-launching, or to be historically accurate, re-re-re-re-launching your favorite strip about spheroids and violence, in the very near future! As we like to say, good things come to those who have no choice but to wait.
